Tough time for those want to meet Jagan during padyatra

People are having bitter experience during YSRCP chief Y S Jagan’s padyatra in East Godavari district. In the name of Jagan’s security some people are being dragged out, forcing many to return disappointed. It’s not just the commoners but even some leaders are being met with this treatment. Unable to complain to anybody, they are seething with anger. More anguished are those who live like kings in their constituencies and roam around with scores of supporters. Some fear that if they complain this will weaken them in the eyes of their supporters. There are allegations that the police are behaving in this manner since Jagan began his visit. By posing on social media the pictures of police excesses on common people, YSRCP leaders are voicing their anger. They alleged that some policemen are deliberately doing this during Jagan tour at the behest of the government.

However, YSRCP leaders are all praise for police over the services they rendered on historic Rajahmundry road cum rail bridge. As the bridge railing had weakened, the police put up a rope on both sides of the bridge for a distance of 9 km from Kovuru to Rajahmundry  to prevent any untoward incident. In view of the weak railing and large number of people accompanying Jagan, the police had requested YSRCP leaders to change the route. They, however, did not change the route and convinced police officials to allow the padyatra through the bridge. Police took all precautionary measures and as a result the padyatra passed off smoothly. YSRCP coordinators were all praise for the police services, especially the interest taken by urban district SP.

Jagan is telling people at the public meetings that due to security related restrictions and huge crowd, they can’t meet him individually. He is advising them to come to his night-halt camps to meet him. Jagan says that people with various problems try to meet him but if they can’t meet him during padyatra they should not be worried. The leader of opposition is requesting them to cooperate with his security personnel and the police.
