The claim that the siblings and relatives of PM Narendra Modi have become rich after he became India's Prime Minister is FALSE. They are continuing their life as it is even today.

When we performed a keyword search 'Narendra Modi family', we found an article published recently in 2022 by TV9 Hindi and also Telugu where it discusses the jobs held by some of the family members of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

And also, a feature story on PM Modi's family was published in India Today Magazine in 2016. The article highlights how PM Modi kept his personal and professional lives separate.

Let us now check the claims:

Claim 1:

Somabhai Patel, the eldest brother of PM Modi is a retired health officer and is not heading any recruitment board either in Gujarat or nationwide. Even when searched using different keywords, Telugu post is not able to find any association of Somabhai Modi with Recruitment Boards.

According to reports, Amruthbhai Modi worked in a private company and is leading a quiet retired life with his son Sanjay and family in Ahmedabad.

Claim -3

Prahlad Modi who ran the Ration shop is not the owner of Hyundai, Maruti, and Honda car showrooms in Ahmedabad and Vadodara.

He is now the Vice President of the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers' Federation (AIFPSDF). As part of his duties to the federation, he also participated in dharna organized to protest against the problems in the public distribution system.

Prahlad Modi has repeatedly criticized his brother PM Narendra Modi's government over the years, but he has maintained that he is criticizing government policies and not his brother and that he holds Modi in high regard.

Pankaj Modi, the younger brother of PM Modi is not working for the recruitment board. Retired from the Department of Information, he now lives in Gandhinagar along with his mother and family. He is now a social worker according to reports.

There is no information online about Arvindbhai Modi except that he was a scrap dealer. The claim is very vague and there are no reports to prove it true.

Claim-6 to 12

None of these claims can be proven as there is not much information to prove them. But as we can clearly see that Reliance malls are purely owned by the Ambani family and there are no other owners, claims such as Ashokbhai Modi is a partner with Bhogilalbhai in Reliance Mall are false.

These claims have been around since 2020 and in other Indian languages, several fact-check organizations have debunked them and proved them false.
