An image of Rohit Sharma flaunting a big belly during the cricket match on the field is going viral on the social media platforms with the comments like ‘Wah g Wah Fitness of Indian Captain Rohit Sharma’, ‘is Rohit Sharma trying to follow Azam Khan?

Some other users shared the image with the caption ‘peak male body. Agree or die girls!!

Fact Check:

The claim that Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma was seen with a huge belly during India -Bangladesh warm up match held on June 1, 2024 is False. The viral image is morphed and not real. When we searched the image using reverse image search, we found a few articles stating that the image is a morphed one.

We found a post on X (twitter) that shared the original image with the caption ‘This is the real pic of Captain Rohit Sharma from last match. But chokli PR edited this pic and posted from many different accounts. Never forgive that Bollywood raan for this.’

According to NDTV sports, the viral image is a morphed one. A few days back, Rohit took part in an official photoshoot for the T20 World Cup. The pictures show that he is not out of shape.

His photoshoot images were shared by an X page named MI fans army.

An image of both the captains during the toss was shared by the BCCI, which shows Rohit Sharma was fit and in good shape.

Therefore, the viral image showing Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma out of shape with big belly, in circulation on the social media is morphed. The claim is False.
