FACT CHECK:
www.telugupost.com ran a reverse image search on the image but found no relevant results. No news of “streets near Eiffel Tower destroyed by rioters” was reported. We then ran the image through several tools that can detect AI-generated content and found that the image was most likely generated by AI. Below are a few more results by the detection tools.
Moreover, we noticed several discrepancies which prove that this is not a real image. For example, the image lacks sharpness, the smoke and flames seem to be smudged, hazy and most of the human figures blur into the background and not one face can be seen clearly.
We also checked Google Maps' street view to find similar streets and buildings with the same view of the Eiffel Tower as seen in the viral image but found none.
This evidently proves that the viral image is AI-generated and does not show the 'destruction caused by rioters' in France.
