FACT CHECK
We noticed that the viral clip carries the logo and ends with the closing credits of Odisha TV, indicating that it may be linked to an Odisha train crash story. A reverse image search of keyframes of the viral video led to multiple posts on Twitter from June 2023. These posts referred to an Odisha train tragedy that took place on June 2, a deadly three-train collision took place in Balasore which claimed the lives of at least 293 people. The same video was shared then.
Similar visuals were also reported across multiple news agencies confirming that it is of the Odisha train disaster. Hindustan Times reported that according to initial reports, the accident may have been the result of human error since the train took the wrong track minutes before the tragedy.
The drone footage showed wreckage caused by three trains in Odisha and has nothing to do with the Pakistan train accident. Thus, the claim is false.
