Fact Check: Video showing a man misbehaving with white girls makes a false claim that he is a Hindu

Sometimes, it leads to irking situations leading to public nonsense or misinformation. These influencers are willing to push boundaries and resort to antics to grab attention. In a bid to create humorous content, they often resort to behavior that creates inconvenience to others around them. Even in India, there have been a few incidents where things led to public nuisance cases being filed against them. In the year 2024, a Hyderabad-based influencer was booked for creating nuisance in a mall in Hyderabad. Another influencer stopped his car in the middle of a busy Delhi flyover to make Instagram reel causing notorious traffic jam.
Meanwhile, a video of a man filming a group of girls in a froriegn country without their consent and commenting is going viral on the social media with the claim that he is a Hindu man trying to impress white girls in Canada. The caption shared along with the video is “Cringe alert: Desperate Hindu uncle on a mission to impress Austrian white girls in Canada… someone stop this disaster!”

Fact check:
The claim is False. The person seen in the video is not a Hindu and is from Canada, not India.
When we extracted keyframes from the video and used them to search using Google reverse image search, we found that the video was published by an Instagram user named jacojaki21 and the account is based from Canada.

On this video, we can see a watermark of @flyme2009, when searched shows the YouTube channel of the same person, in which there are several videos published talking about religion, etc. In one of the videos, he is seen arguing with the preachers on the street and saying that he is an atheist and an ex-muslim.
So the person shooting the white girls on the streets of Canada is not a Hindu man as shared on social media. He is a social media influencer who randomly shoots people on the streets and creates videos. Therefore, the claim is False.
