A lucky draw link is being widely shared on WhatsApp and other social media networks with a false claim that by participating in a quiz, you could stand a chance to win a Muharram gift from DMart.

The viral image below shows a template of DMart with the following text:

"Through the questionnaires, you will have a chance to get Rs. 65,402.40."

It then shows a quiz like this: “Do you know DMart? Yes/No.”

Once you click on any option, it moves to the next question.

At the end of the quiz, it says: "You have a chance to win Rs. 65,404.40. You must select the correct box with your prize inside; you have 3 attempts. Good luck!"

In the next step, a few gift boxes appear, and you need to click on any of them. According to the instructions, you need to select the right box to claim your gift.

Once you select a box, a surprise gift appears, showing the amount of Rs. 65,404.40. At the end of the quiz, a congratulatory message will appear with three conditions:

You must tell 5 groups or 20 friends about this promotion.

Enter your address and complete the registration.

The gift will be delivered within 5-7 days.

In the comments section, we also found a few users mentioning: “It’s true, I received the gift on the same day, thank you DMart for the gift.” Another user mentioned: “Indeed, I received a gift on the day I finished the task, a surprise. Thank you, DMart, for the gift.”

Fact Check: We checked the official website and social media handles of DMart but did not find any notification regarding this Muharram offer.

We initially conducted a keyword search for “online questionnaire” on the DMart official website but found no such official announcement or notification. Additionally, there were no mentions on their official social media accounts.

We found a notification from DMart scrolling on their official site. “Dear Customers - Our offers / promotions and customer care contact details are published on our websites (www.dmartindia.com and www.dmart.in), DMart Ready App and at our Stores. Please do not call any unknown numbers or click on any unknown links or similar looking links. Please check the website name carefully. These could be potential phishing websites.

If you observe carefully, the URL links shared on social media do not start with dmartindia.com or dmart.in, which are the official websites of DMart.

Instead, the viral link starts with https://qjof.buzz.

Hence, we found that the circulated link is fake. DMart has not announced any kind of online questionnaire competition ahead of Muharram.
