Fact Check: Revanth Reddy did not make any statement about selling temple lands to pool funds for Muslim Declaration

Chandrasekhar Rao in Kamareddy constituency, in the upcoming Assembly elections. As elections are approaching fast, the leaders are busy campaigning to influence the electorate.
Amidst this, a screenshot that seems to be a news snippet published in Way2 News is going viral on social media with the claim that Revanth Reddy issued a statement that to support the Muslim Declaration, the Congress government, if voted to power will auction the temple lands and secure the funds.
The claim on the viral image goes “వక్ఫ్ భూములు అమ్మరు టా, దేవాలయ భూములమ్మి ముస్లిం లకీ పంచి పెడతారు టా ఈ కాంగ్రెసోళ్లు, ఎంత సిగ్గుమాలిన వెధవలు, వీళ్ళని నమ్మి ఇంకా ఓట్లు వేసే హిందువులను అనాలి”.
When translated, it claims: “These Congress people will not sell Wakf board lands, but temple lands to distribute among the Muslims. Shameless people. The Hindus should be blamed for believing in them and voting for them.”
The text on the screenshot reads “ముస్లిం డిక్లరేషన్ కు ఆలయాల భూములు వేలం : రేవంత్ రెడ్డి.
ముస్లిం డిక్లరేషన్కు నిధుల సమీకరణ కోసం అవసరమైతే ఆలయాల భూములను వేలం వేసి వచ్చిన డబ్బులతో ముస్లింలను ఆదుకుంటామని టి-పీసీసీ అధ్యక్షులు అనుమల రేవంత్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. ముస్లిం డిక్లరేషన్ కు నిధులు ఎలా సమీకరిస్తారని ఒక న్యూస్ ఛానెల్ జర్నలిస్ట్ అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు రేవంత్ రెడ్డి పై విధంగా బదులిచ్చారు.”
When translated, it claims: “To raise funds necessary for the Muslim Declaration, we will auction the temple lands, if necessary, says Anumula Revanth Reddy. To a question asked by a journalist about how Congress would pool the funds for the Muslim Declaration, Revanth Reddy gave the above answer.”
Fact Check:
The claim is False. No such statement was issued by Revanth Reddy or was published in any media channel.
When we searched using the keywords “ఆలయాల భూములు వేలం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి”, we did not find any videos or articles published about it. When observed carefully, we can see the way2news stamp on it. Upon searching way2news, we found a tweet published by them stating that it is not their story and not published by them.
The tweet states “This is not a #Way2News story. Some miscreants are spreading misinformation using our logo and the 'attached post' has gone viral. We confirm that this has not been published by us.”
When searched for interviews of Revanth Reddy published recently, we came across a YouTube video published by NTV, titled ‘Revanth Reddy Exclusive Interview Live I Question Hour I Telangana Elections 2023 I NTV. This interview was streamed on November 10, 2023. However, we did not find any questions or answers related to the sale of temple lands or the Muslim Wakf Board.

Therefore, the claim that TPCC president Revanth Reddy issued a statement that to support the Muslim Declaration, they are ready to auction temple lands is False. There is no such statement made by him.
