Fact check:
The claim that the conch seen in the image was used by Lord Vishnu is FALSE. The conch belongs to the 16th or 17th century AD.
When we searched for the image using Google reverse image search, we found a Srilankan website, Lanka Pradeepa, stating that the conch is of Valampuri type and that it has right winding spirals. It has been designed as a composite artefact. Some bronze pieces are attached to it to give it the appearance of a swan.
The spirals of the conch are covered with a bronze coating and there is some inscription on it. Miniature figures of Nandi -- the bull, Shivalinga covered by a hooded serpent and a figure of peacock with its head backward are also seen. Scholars believe that this conch was a donation to a Shaivite temple.
Though the inscription engraved on the bronze coating do not contain any date or name of a king or any institution, based on paleography, scholars have provisionally dated the inscription to the 16th or 17th century AD.
The inscription mentions two names on it -- Pulan Natar and Cuppiramaniya Nataras, who made the conch. They made it for a person named Narayan Cuvami and offered it to God Palani.
According to the relics, Lord Vishnu descended on the earth in different forms which are called avatars. Sri Krishna was the last avatar among the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu, manifested on the earth so far. Lord Krishna, the last avatar or Lord Vishnu till now, was born in Northern India in approximately 3,228 BCE, which dates back to 5,000 plus years. This has been reported by several news publications also. The last avatar of Lord Vishnu, Kalki, is yet to descend on the earth.
